ABOUT THE WEBINAR
Blocked rail crossings are a systemic problem that create traffic congestion, collisions, and first responder delays. Existing solutions like flashing lights, bells, and gates are ineffective at addressing congestion and delays and grade separation is often infeasible due to high costs and limited space in dense urban areas.
Emerging and proven technologies from TRAINFO are now available to notify drivers and first responders about blocked crossings to enable re-routing and help road authorities manage traffic signals and mitigate congestion on the surrounding road network. Learn how other agencies have leveraged the TRAINFO solution resulting in significant reductions in congestion and delays.
The Bipartisan Infrastructure Law (BIL) is historic legislation that provides unprecedented federal funding support for infrastructure investments. The BIL increases funding for existing programs and introduces dozens of new programs and provides improved access to funding for local public agencies. Further, many of the programs have widened the definition of eligible projects to include innovative and new technologies, such as the TRAINFO solution.
